
After 18 years of observations and 650 individual doppler measurements at Lick and Keck observatories, we are reporting the discovery of the first quintuple planet system. The star 55 Rho Cancri, already known to host four extrasolar planets, also has a Saturn-mass planet in the habitable zone, where water can exist in liquid form.
