Narada Thera

Narada Thera was one of the pioneer monks to bring Theravada Buddhism to the west.

Bhikkhu Bodhi

Bhikkhu Bodhi was born in New York City in 1944. In late 1972 he went to Sri Lanka, where he was ordained as a Buddhist monk under the late Ven. Balangoda Ananda Maitreya Mahanayaka Thera. He is the author, translator, and editor of many books on Theravada Buddhism.

Bhante Punnaji

Bhante Punnaji has been in the United States since 1971. He conducts meditation retreats and dhamma discussions in Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles, Toronto and many other locations.

Bhante Yogavacara Rahula

Bhante Yogavacara Rahula was born in Southern California in 1948. Adopting the lifestyle of a wandering hippie, he began a long odyssey which took him half way around the world to India and Nepal. His search brought him south to Sri Lanka where he ordained as a Buddhist monk in 1975.
